The CSA is an annual evaluation that assesses over 10,000 companies worldwide, focusing on industry-specific and financially material sustainability criteria. Vedanta Aluminium’s advancement from the second rank in 2022 CSA to the top position in 2023 signifies its substantial improvement in all key areas of ESG performance.

The company has achieved notable milestones in its sustainability journey, including an 8% reduction in GHG emissions intensity and a 11% reduction in water withdrawal from freshwater sources in FY23, compared to the FY21 baseline. Additionally, Vedanta Aluminium has doubled its waste utilization, contributing significantly to the circular economy. It has also inducted India’s largest fleet of electric forklifts, further reducing its carbon footprint.
In line with its sustainability goals, Vedanta Aluminium has positively impacted over 630,000 women and children through focused social interventions and increased community investments by over 45% in FY23. These initiatives encompass education, healthcare, livelihood support, and promoting grassroots art, culture, and sports.
